About Natalie Barr

Nat is a born and bred West Aussie, she is a mother of 3 riders and has lived on their boutique equestrian Property in Coolup for 27 years. Now a valued Life Member of the Murray Horse and Pony Club, Nat spent her whole Pony Club Career at Murray, representing the club in dressage, “A” Grade Horse Trials Teams and PPMG finally sitting her “A” certificate.

Nat began coaching at Pony Club all the way back then and is a Qualified NCAS Level 1 giving her now 40 years of experience. Producing many Off The Track Horses Along the way she has a wealth of experience to offer in either producing beautiful TB Show Horses, eventers or pleasure horses.

She is a recognised OTT re- trainer, a Show Horse and Qualified EA Dressage Judge who rides and competes regularly. She trained her home bred horse Holland Park Milan to compete at Advanced Level and win and place at many EA 80cm ODE’s . Her kids now ride many of the Holland Park horses she has produced.

Nat is the founder and creator of the online facebook group “Getting back on the horse” with over 1000 members providing mentor and coaching, with 6 free webinars.

Natalie is also a Health and Wellness Mentor, non toxic living advocate and Mentors people in Life coaching and consulting. Helping people stay on track and reach their goals in more ways than one.

OTTB in focus – Summer Program (open to all breeds)

Program will cover the foundations of correct basic re-training of the OTTB that is non-discipline specific.

This program is supplement by an online support group with Natalie Barr for all your Q and A to keep you on track in between the clinic days and to keep in touch with fellow participants.

Participants will receive a completion certificate at the end of their course.  You must complete all 4 parts of the course.

Learn in a safe and supportive environment.  The challenges that you are facing are the same challenges that others are also facing and together you can learn how to overcome these in a way that is beneficial for both you and your horse.

Dates:  Saturdays January 6th and 20th.  February 3rd and 17th.

Venue:  Kendall Park Friesians, 23 Rose road Burekup WA 6227

Program Fee: $400 total for entire program of 4 days including use of indoor arena.

Time Slots:  1hr  coaching session, either singular or pairs.

Indoor Hire Fee: $20 per horse – included in program fee.

Confirmation of a place in this program requires booking payment upfront at time of reservation to secure your place.

You are responsible to find replacements for your own cancellations. There will be no refunds given – as clinic is only scheduled based on the number of confirmed bookings.

Terms and Conditions of entry to Kendall Park

By completing this booking you agree to abide by the below terms and Liability Waiver:

  1. All participants must wear an approved AS Helmet
  2. No dogs allowed on the property
  3. Children must be supervised at all times and are not permitted to wander around the property
  4. Absolutely NO LUNGING in the arena.  Please use the round yard available at no charge.
  5. All gates to remain closed at all times within the property
  6. All manure to be collected and disposed of. (not thrown in my garden beds!)
  7. All excess feed/hay to be collected and disposed of.
  8. Wash bays to be left clean and tidy as you found them.
  9. Water hoses turned off at the tap.
  10. No destructive horses to be tied to floats – use the wash bay or a yard.
  11. If your horse does not reliably tie solid – put it in a yard and close the gate.
  12. You agree to incur any costs to repair any damage that is caused by yourself or your horse to the property.
  13. You understand that this is a working Stud and at times the owner may be using mobile plant around the property or stud horses (Stallions, mares, foals, young stock) may be rotating paddocks or in training, you are responsible for the control of your horse at ALL times.
  14. You are responsible to find replacements for your own cancellations or forfeit the fee.

RECREATIONAL HORSE RIDING RISK WARNING, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE

  1. Participation in horse riding at Kendall Park Friesians, 23 Rose Road, Burekup WA 6227 involves significant risks, including the risk of personal injury and death.  Particular risks include, but are not limited to:
    (a) Horse Riding
    (b) Horse Jumping activities
    (c) Horse Handling
    (d) Horse Training
    (e) Instruction
    (f) Horsemanship/Education Sessions
    (g) Supervision of Assessments
    (h) Agistment
    (i) Visitation
  2. Before you participate in horse riding, you should ensure that you are aware of , and properly understand, all of the risks involved with horse riding, and that those risks will include any risks associated with any health condition or pre-existing disability from which you suffer.
  3. By agreeing to this booking you are acknowledging this Waiver and Release, agree and understand that you engage or participate in horse riding voluntarily and at your own risk in full knowledge of the risks generally and particular risks described above.
  4. If making this booking as parent, guardian, or responsible person performing responsibilities, you acknowledge and agree that you have explained to the participant that the horse riding activity provided by Kendall Park Friesians may involve risks generally, including particular risks described above.
  5. By agreeing to this booking you also acknowledge, agree and understand that the risk warning above constitutes a formal ‘risk warning’ for the purposes of the relevant legislation, including for the purpose of:
    (a) Section 5I of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (WA)
  6. Section 139A of Competition and Consumer Act 2010, permits the service provider of the Horse riding activity and associated services to ask you to agree that the statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer  Law do not apply to you (or a person from whom or on whose behalf you are acquiring the services to engage in Horse riding activities).
  7. The Participant acknowledges that during all times while attending Kendall Park you do so at your own risk and that the participant and other people in the care and control of the participant will not hold Kendall Park and any of it’s employees, volunteers or agents liable for any personal injury and or death or breach of contract whether caused by the negligence of Kendall Park howsoever caused or otherwise.
  8. The Participant acknowledges and understands their duty of care to stop an activity or request an activity to be stopped and seek help if in the event they or any of the people in their care and control is in difficulty during the Horse riding activity.
